Crochet this beautiful glitter infinity scarf

Story

After finishing this glitter infinity scarf I really wonder if for once this time I would give this scarf to myself. Is this allowed are not? Maybe I’ll make it again, but definitely in a different color. But knowing myself, this is a very difficult job. Crocheting the same is so hard for me, especially when the pattern is written down. I always want to change something here and there and in the end it’s something else again. ๐Ÿ˜†

LoveCrafts

If you want to crochet this scarf as a gift, start early. Ordering the yarn takes 7 to 10 days and I worked on it for about 3 weeks. So count at least a month of crochet time I would say.

I think anyone can crochet this infinity scarf. I made the pattern in the usual tabular format, but I also made a video to make the pattern even clearer. And as always I’m open to any question to help, just leave a message and I’ll respond as soon as I can!

Video

I’ve made a little video tutorial to make my written pattern a bit clearer. This is my first time and I’m really excited! Please let me know if it helped you reading the pattern!

Material

Stitches (US)

  • chain stitch
  • slip stitch
  • half double crochet
  • front post double crochet
  • back post half double crochet
  • rib stitch

How to crochet a front post double crochet?

You do not crochet the dc on the underlying stitch, but around the underlying stitch along the front. In the photo below you can see how this is done. The video also clearly shows how to crochet this double crochet.

How do you crochet the back post half double crochet?

You don’t work this half double crochet on the underlying stitch here either, but around the underlying stitch from behind. The video will also clarify this here.

How to crochet the rib stitch.

The rib stitch is basically a regular half double crochet. Only you don’t work this half double crochet in the front 2 loops of an underlying half double crochet, but in the back loop. Also here a video and the next post shows step by step how to crochet this half double crochet. But here are also step-by-step photos to clarify it even more.

Gauge

Chain 26 and then work 20 rows of half double crochets. The the crochet patch then measures 10cm by 10cm.

Pattern

The pattern itself is available here (Ravelry) or here (Etsy)!

Have fun crocheting!
