Handmade bath poufs, a simple basic crochet pattern and 4 other nice examples

Spread the love

Story

Do you also like to use it? I can’t even imagine taking a shower without a bath pouf. Recently I also saw them on pinterest in their crochet version. So I also thought, I can get started with this too! It is so nice to use my handmade bath poufs!

After a number of attempts I came up with 1 basic pattern, yes, there were first a number of less good versions. But in the end I had a perfect basic pattern to start with. With this basic pattern I could start crocheting different versions in any type of cotton.

Lees deze post in het Nederlands hier.

Below I like to share the basic pattern together with the other 4 versions.

Enjoy crocheting them!

Start with the basic pattern here too. Then work this extra round with the following pattern : 1 single crochet, 1 half double crochet, 1 double crochet, 2 treble crochets, 1 double crochet, 1 half double crochet and a single crochet.

Pattern 5 : oval base

tourhow to
0Chain 40, close the chain with a slip stitch. This is the loop of the bath pouf. Now work, now chain 10.
1Work 1 chain to be the first single crochet from the first round. Work 9 single crochets on the next 9 chain stitches. Then work 10 more single crochets at the bottom of the chain stitches. Close with a slip stitch, this way we will work around from now on.
2Chain 2, counts as first double crochet in first single crochet, work 2 more double crochets in first single crochet from previous round. Then work 3 double crochets in every single crochet. Close with a slip stitch.
3Chain 2, counts as first double crochet in first stitch, work 2 more double crochets in first double crochet from previous round. Then work 3 double crochets in each double crochet. Close with a slip stitch.
4Chain 2, counts as first double crochet in first stitch, now only work 1 double crochet on each stitch from previous round. Close with a slip stitch.

And of course, as always, you can send me a message with questions!

Cheers,

Greet
