Crochet Heart Coasters for Valentine, a challenging but easy pattern

Try out my latest Valentines day project – Crochet heart Coasters for Valentine! Cute huh? I love adding an extra handmade touch on special occasions like this. I have made mine in traditional red shades mostly two, but you could of course choose whatever colour yarn you like.

Stitches and techniques

• chain stitches
• slip stitches
• simple crochets
• double crochets

I made a design using the ‘entrelac’ technique combined with simple crochets to finish with. It is the first time I used this technique and I really love it!😀 So if you also are a complete beginner for this technique, no worries, it is not that hard. In my pattern I made pictures to help you and of course, you can always ask for help. There are several ways to contact me like mail, also beneath each post you find several other ways to contact me. Material

In fact, you can choose any yarn to crochet these coasters. I have chosen cotton that is easy to wash and can withstand the heat well. The chosen yarn also has the advantage that there are many shades of red. Here you find my choice.

Pictures

As you see in the many pictures I tried many variations, from pink to red. I event think of making them in green so I can use them as a 4 leaf clover, maybe I’m going to make an afghan with 4 leaf clovers, maybe a next project to think of?
